Search ChiefMonster opportunities

1. On any My ChiefMonster page, select Search ChiefMonster from the My ChiefMonster Menu drop-down down menu or click the Search icon.
The Search Jobs page appears.
 
2. Enter your search criteria, as follows:
Criteria
Description
Location

Only locations with current Job Opportunities are listed.

Use the "Click Here" link under the Select Search Location box to scroll between North American and European locations. While you can search for opportunitues on either continent, you can only search for opportunities on one continent at a time.

 
To search for opportunities in certain geographic locations, select those locations by clicking on them inside the Select Search Location box.
To select multiple locations, hold down the <CTRL> key while clicking selections (Mac users, hold down the <Command> key).

To select all locations, click Select all.

 


 
Category

Only categories with current Job Opportunities are listed.

 
To search for opportunities in certain categories, select those categories by clicking on them inside the Select Search Category box.
To select multiple categories, hold down the <CTRL> key while clicking selections (Mac users, hold down the <Command> key).
To select all categories, click Select all.

Salary

Select the salary range you are seeking from the Compensation Range drop-down list.

Depending on what continent you are searching, the figures will either be in Euros (Europe) or US/CAN dollars (North America).


Keyword
In the Enter Keyword box, enter words that you want to see in the opportunity descriptions for which you are searching.

Examples of keywords include ceo, pre-ipo, and
e-commerce.

Keyword searches are performed using boolean logic. Follow these guidelines when entering keywords:

Use and if all keywords must appear in search results: ceo and pre-ipo.
Use or if any keyword can appear in search results: ceo or pre-ipo.
Use and not if a keyword must not appear in search results: ceo and not pre-ipo.
Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard character: fin* returns finance, financial, financing, etc.
Use parenthesis () to separate keyword subsets: (ceo or pre-ipo) and e-commerce.
Use only alphanumeric characters; for example, do not use $.

Agent
To save this criteria as a search agent, select the Save Search as an Agent checkbox.

3. Click Search Now to run your opportunity search on ChiefMonster.
The Job Search Results page appears listing opportunities that match your search criteria.

NOTE: If you selected Save Search as an Agent in step 2, the Create Job Search Agents page appears. To display the Search Results page for your search, do the following:

  1. Enter an agent name in the Agent Title field.
  2. Click Save Agent.
  3. The search is performed and matching jobs appear on the Job Search Results page.

View Job Search Results

The Search Results page displays summaries of the opportunities that your search retrieved from ChiefMonster, as follows:
Up to five summaries appear at a time.
Directly above the summaries indicates which summaries are currently displayed and the total number of summaries resulting from your search. For example, Search Results 1 -5 of 7 indicates you are currently viewing summaries of opportunities one through five, out of a toal of seven opportunties retrieved by your search.
Each summary provides the following information about the opportunity:

Date Posted
The date the employer posted this opportunity on ChiefMonster.

Job Title
The job title the employer has given this opportunity.
 

Source
The type of organization that posted this opportunity.

Company Name
The name of the organization that is hiring for this opportunity.
 
Note: Jobs with "ChiefMonster" as the employer are posted by Monster representatives for companies who wish to keep parts of their information confidential.

Opportunity Type
The type of opportunity.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this opportunity.

Location
The location of this opportunity. You may notice that some jobs are listed in more than one location or are listed in a location on which you did not search. Due to the nature of opportunities at this level, many employers prefer to perform national or regional (e.g. North American or European) searches for qualified job seekers. In such cases, those employers' postings are listed in more than one location on ChiefMonster.

To view the complete profile for an opportunity, click the job title.
To view the next group of opportunity summaries resulting from your search, click More.
To save this search as a job search agent, click Save Search as an Agent. The Create Job Search Agent page appears.

Clicking the actual job title in an opportunity summary displays the entire opportunity profile, as follows:

Date Posted: The date the employer posted this opportunity on ChiefMonster.
Job Title: The job title the employer gave this opportunity. Depending on the length of the title, this may be abbreviated.
Source: The type of organization that posted this opportunity.

Company Name: The name of the organization that is hiring for this opportunity.

Note: Companies who want to remain anonymous for this portion of the process have "Confidential Executive" as their Company Name. You will only find out what company it is if they contact you regarding your application.

Opportunity Type: The type of opportunity.
Compensation Range: The compensation range for this opportunity.
Location: The location of this opportunity. You may notice that some jobs are listed in more than one location or are listed in a location on which you did not search.
