Create/Edit Job Search Agents

A Job Search Agent is an automatic job recruiter that searches the jobs database. You tell the Agent what to look for, and it retrieves ChiefMonster jobs that meet your criteria. You can create up to five job search Agents. Any Agents you have created on My Monster count towards your total. Of course, you may delete search Agents on My Monster to enable you to create additional Agents on ChiefMonster.

On any My ChiefMonster page, select My Profile/Agents from the My ChiefMonster Menu drop-down menu. Specify the Agent information, as follows:

Job Locations Select a location where you want to work. To choose multiple locations hold down the <CTRL> key (Mac users, hold down the <Command> key) while making selections.
NOTE: To select locations outside of your current continent, click Show All Global Locations. To select from a list of locations in your current continent, click Show Only Local Locations.

Job Categories Select a category that describes the industry and field in which you want to work. To choose multiple categories hold down the <CTRL> key (Mac users, hold down the <Command> key) while making selections.

Compensation Range Select the salary range you are looking in. The currency is listed to the right of the drop-down list.

Email notification is not mandatory. You can use My ChiefMonster to view Agent search results.

Follow these guidelines when entering keywords:

Use and if all keywords must appear in search results: ceo and pre-ipo
Use or if any keyword can appear in search results: ceo or pre-ipo
Use and not if a keyword must not appear in search results: ceo and not pre-ipo
Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard character: finan * returns finance, financial, financing, etc.
Use parenthesis ( ) to separate keyword subsets: (ceo or pre-ipo) and e-commerce
Use only alphanumeric characters; for example, do not use $.
